it's not often i can say it was actually too hot to ride, but today it was. That intense sunny warm with little breeze and the need for a high factor sun cream. after the last few days all i wanted was a brief spin to loosen the legs and after a morning of bike fettling that's just what I did. surprisingly even after the prolonged dry spell it was still very muddy off road and since i was wearing the darkest sunglasses i have it was hard to see in the woods which is what I'm blaming riding straight into a bog of deep proportions on. So with one brown foot where i had dabbed i pedalled to Waseley cafe for tea and cookies before heading home to relax in the garden.
