a semi skimmed mini adventure

Dan and I fancied a reasonably long ride today, with the Mayhem 24hr race getting ever closer we needed a day in the saddle. We caught the train to Worcester with the plan to ride home via the canal network. Every adventure should start with a cuppa and that's what we did at the Eco cafe. The last time we did this route it was in torrential rain and on a very deeply puddled tow path. This time the surface was dry and dusty giving the bikes a light brown matt finish. It was surprising how quickly we got back to Droitwich due to the fast nature of the surface. we then diverted from the canal to The Jinny ring for soup before rejoining the waterway, over the tunnel and home. Once again Dan's fat wheel was an attention magnet but it coped well with the ride and Dan was happy enough to decide to use it at the next scheduled ride, the 24hr race!
