since Matt's comment about all the pictures being of cake i've tried to avoid doing it. but today's ride was all about cake. it was our goal, our raison d'etre so to speak. in contrast to yesterday it was very windy and the inevitable headwind buffeted us all the way to the cafe which made it quite tough, Ben found it worse though as he'd been suffering from food poisoning and was very below par as proved by leaving his stomach contents in various hedgerows.the cake though was excellent. the back leg was uphill via the canal which was when the rain started. rain and high gusting winds don't make happy bed fellows for the cyclist normally but today as the temperature was high for the time of year it wasn't too bad.
