the winter morning ride

due to an unavoidable family engagement at lunchtime we needed to get out for a ride early, we also needed to do some shopping so combined the two with a country lane ride whilst trying to support the local independent shops. it was a lovely morning, lots of winter sunshine, not strong enough to emit much heat but it lit up the skies and greenery spectacularly. after collecting fresh bread and a paper from one village we moved to the next filling the courier bag with bacon, sausage and even a light bulb!. we treated ourselves to a coffee and got back in time to was and brush up before our lunch date. i think we managed to be carbon neutral at least and got some fine local produce into the bargain
