a dry weekend? wonders will never cease but typically I'd made arrangements to head for the bright lights of the city and that needed to be got out of the way, thankfully early and i was back at lunch time. but then i had to get C's bike ready for her ride tomorrow with the Worcs girls and my replacement brake pads had turned up to hopefully cure the squeak so i had to fit those and refit the brakes and set the calipers, time was getting on, daylight was being used up. finally finished and....visitors turned up and i had to be sociable!, so eventually around 1440 i fiannally got out on the bike, the race to get a decent ride in before dark was on. first i needed to bed those pads in so found the biggest hill and chucked myself down it and by the end the brakes worked perfectly and....no squeak!!! still the trails were that deep with muddy filth they soon stopped working so well as it was axle deep in places and covered the rotors, very grotty, but incredibly good fun, as the light began to fade i made it home and hose the bike and myself down!
