Ben hasn't ridden for ages so when he txt asking if anyone was riding i jumped at the chance even though I'd had a tough ride earlier in the day. It was no less windy but it has less affect on a mountain bike as the speeds are generally lower and you get shelter from the trees and sunken bridleways. Away from the hills and the still lying snow the trails were remarkably dry, another benefit of the windy conditions i guess. I was caught out once on the Dodford Bridleway as the trail went from very dry to a thick gloop of mud, bit of a surprise whilst barrelling downhill!. We took full advantage of the extra hours of "summertime" now the clocks have gone forward. Now all we need is some warmer temperatures
ride 30
17 miles
