it had been such a lovely sunny day, but unfortunately i was stuck at work with only occasional glimpses of the sunshine through the window. This made me determined to get out on the bike A.S.A.P. when i finished. I pinged a txt around to see if anyone else could make it that early and Dan stepped up. We headed over the Tardebigge tunnel and were surprised to find snow still on the tow path on the other side. I showed Dan the resevoir trail and even though the down hill was muddy and tricky i think the view from the top is worth it. Then more downhill to the Brushworks woods and then back along the missing road, the windmill trail (sketchy with mud in places) before heading back via Garringtons, the gym and the lane climbs to home. a pretty fast paced ride that started out in quite nice sunny and warm (compared to how cold it has been) conditions but ended very cold as the sun disappeared behind the horizon and necessitated putting out lights on. wel worth the effort of going out though.
ride 31
18 miles
total 544
