the snow has gone! and the lighter nights are here so an after work ride in daylight was in order. Over the beacon last weeks deep snow had melted, Bono is now passable with care although the white stuff has been replaced with the brown stuff...unfortunately two sorts, mud and horse shit, the former is unpleasant enough to have flicked into your face, the latter is vomit enducing! I'd swapped forks on the HT for a lighter racier feel and i certainly noticed the lack of suspension on the tank slapper bridleway, very rough over the cobbles and down the wooden steps but also really responsive and good for out oif the saddle climbing. I got a good couple of hours playing out before it began to get dark and i headed home .
