first ride back on familiar ground after the weekend in the Lake district and to be honest it was a bit of an anti climax, back to the dark, wet and muddy trails that we've become familiar with. maybe it's the winter blues. it has made me decide that i need to make the most of any daylight rides that come up, some day trips are in the pipe line. we pedalled to Beacon hill to watch the traditional fireworks as there is a view right across Birmingham from the top, there were a few people with the same idea too so we didn't loiter and headed downhill to "bunch of C**ts" and through the park, did some cheeky footpath and field work and then headed for home, good to stretch the legs after the long van journey although rear brake issues for me didn't help,
