The icecream ride

rode to Henley in Arden today, found the ice cream parlour on a quick google, so that became our goal. i wanted to avoid main roads as much as possible to plotted a route using minor roads. this did make some of them very interesting, including one a couple of miles long and very undulating, the "unsuitable for motors" sign should have been a clue, it was mud covered , pot holed, washed away and narrow, bearing in mind we were riding skinny tyred road bikes so it certainly gave us some bike handling training! the parlour has an outside seating area so we sat indulging in the cafe cycling culture like two italians on the riviera. we took a different route home, it was quite a lot hillier on the way back but the roads were quiet and it was very enjoyable to ride along chatting.
ride 127
28 miles
total 2399
commute 673
