with half an eye on the Tour de France stage that day i ventured up to the Col du Clent on what turned out to be a very warm sunny day, perhaps summer had started!, unfortunately the ground hadn't really caught up with this idea of summer and parts of the usual route were by-passed as it was just too muddy and deep to navigate in the time available. once on the top of the hill the views were stunning as you can see and i found a less muddy return route. fingers crossed that this spell of dryness continues
