so the second ride of Bank Holiday monday and i was a bit apprehensive having done a long ride the day before and a 15 miler two hours before. Matt was on his pain killers so was flying! so i was yo yoing to the front and then to the back but all in all i was quite pleased, we did some of the old routes, "cemetery","Girls aloud" and "bumble hole" meeting the NW Alp southern contingent on their own turf, there was even a pub stop at The Dodford Inn (recommended for real ales) although we did run the risk of ridicule when 3 of the pack opted for 1/2 pint bitter shandys, but Matt and i managed to claw back the masculinity quota by having pints, as the locals peeled off to head home Matt and i faced the uphill ride back to the Northern passes. Matt paced me back to the top as my legs were properly dead by then and we celebrated our return with tea and biscuits, very civilised
