with possible heavy snow forecast for the end of the week i decided to get a ride in before it hits and just as an added excuse i thought i'd deliver some Christmas cards by bike (maybe save money and the planet just a little too). it was fine for the first half hour then the skys cleared and the temperature dropped dramatically, this combined with wet, untreated roads made for some hairy moments on the lanes, i even got some wheel spin on tarmac on an uphill section. i think tomorrow might be interesting if it stays clear and doesn't cloud over again
