after heavy showers it was good to hit the road in a sudden dry spell and try to get twenty miles in before the rain started again. blustery wind hindered progress at times but it was incredibly warm. Because of the temperature, when it started to rain at mile 18 i was very reluctant to put on the jacket i had with me and in the end i didn't bother, even wet i was still warm.
I'm now hoping for some dry, cold weather if i'm honest as wet and warm is ok but dry is always better
