Dan and I braved the very muddy conditions brought about by the snow thaw and rain, we even tackled Bono at a wildly slower speed than normal. Dan found the going tough on some very fat and tall tyres, i faired slightly better on some skinny mud tyres. With limited time due to commitments we indulged in a bit of urban riding too involving 3 flights of steep steps, but the highlight of my ride was riding the very narrow set of steps on the canal, after descending them on his HT Dan said "i'd not do those on my other bike, my bars are 762mm wide, i don't think they'd fit" the bars i rode them with are 760mm wide!! not much room for error! a great ride in challenging conditions but at least it didn't rain for once!
