after a morning of gardening and chopping down a tree it was only a fair reward to ride out for a cake stop, of course we had to earn it by taking the hilly route and the off road path (slightly tricky on a road bike). Millionaire's shortbread and chocolate cookie later we left the annoyingly loud people in the cafe (why do people have to be like that?) and headed back via some amazingly autumnal byways
