@mrsfatlad and @stickymitts one who is currently sidelined with a broken collar bone have decided to undertake the Lands End to John O'Groats ride (LEJOG). however, as mentioned one is currently on an enforced lay off from the saddle, so to try and keep up her fitness she will attempt the distance by turbo trainer and my self and @stickymitts will keep her company by logging the distance on our rides too, i'd also like to use it to remember the late @nick3215 who recently completed the real LEJOG on a singlespeed mountain bike before he passed away. although i never met Nick i chatted to him via social media and we both commented on each others Flickr pictures and i feel a connection to him and every pedal stroke of the 874 miles will be with him in mind.
the first section of the LEJOG was to Waseley Cafe and back, a great cafe that also benefits from a live camera feed to a nest box nearby where a family of 6 chicks and 2 adults were also enjoying a snack :-)
