it's a funny thing, the Tour de France, it's not that different to the other pro tours yet it's such a spectacle and i have so much respect for the (clean) guys who can ride at that intensity for 3 weeks and of course it motivates you to ride, so after watching the 1st stage i went out on the bike, determined to ride a route i'd struggled with before but with more panache and suplesse that the tour riders have. well maybe, i was also lured by the sign that said "hambleton via Ford" which added to the route, i also wasn't sure where i was going, wwhich is strangely fun. a great ride and i still had some legs when i got home.at mile 12 of this ride i reached 1000 non commuting miles this year.
