the nostalgia ride

today i stepped back in time, or at least it felt like it. No T.A.R.D.I.S. was used for this experience. What did happen though was that Matt came out for a ride and we roade some of the valley trails that used to be the mainstay of our riding "back in the day" when both our circumstances were quite different. The trails were quite over grown and nearly impassable in places, which we put down to us not riding here now. there's nothing technical to ride here but it was fun to do and great to see Matt out too and feeling motivated to ride. In the present climate of wheel size debate in the MTB community it was good to see Matt a dyed in the wool 26" wheel stalwart just letting the ride do the talking and not stressing about obsolescence and "marginal gains" the big and middle size wheels bring
Hopefully Matt will persevere and continue to be motivated.
