the in search of snow ride

it snowed 2 days ago, i wasn't able to get out on the late afternoon it started and the day after i went walking in it until late so missed out again so today i went in search of snow. it was pretty hard to find as a big thaw had set in, with this in mind i knew i had to head high and that's what i did. the snow was stil a few inches deep and quite hard going but fun, coming down off the hills was more treacherous though as the slush had hardened and it was hard to go in a straight line and keep control downhill. i headed into the valley and the thaw was almost complete here, the trails and fields were just water logged and not for the first time in the last few rides i was glad of the rear mudguard. although it was around 3 degrees because of all the moisture my feet soon started to get cold so i headed twards home quicker than i normally would
