the impromptu tour of the NWAlps ride

the plan was to visit the wyre forest and we actually made it, did one singletrack downhill, hit the brakes at the end and just carried on at the same speed, that's not right! on further investigation the left fork leg had popped a seal and dumped fork oil all over the front brake caliper, bummer! given the nature of some of the descents to follow (camber with no front brake is a scary though) we decided to return home, swap forks from the 69er and go local instead. the fork swap thankfully was straight forward as the the headset is the same and the fork steerer almost the same length. we then tackled a "best of" route of the NWAlps including a cake stop, quite a lote of cheeky trails and many rooty bits in the trees, so all in all ride saved
