it was one of those rides, it had been raining on and off all day but i rode for 14 miles with out a drop, i followed my nose and found a trail i'd never ridden before over the Waseley hills, which is strictly "cheeky". i didn't have any hassle from walkers though, those i passed were cheerful and happy which could have been caused by the other great thing from this ride, the amazing sunset! truly stunning and worth every bit of effort to get to the top of the hill. maybe one of those once in a very long while rides, simple, close to home but unbeatable.
