very windy today, must be gusting to 50-60 and we were being blown all over the place, weird though when you find a bit of shelter from it you feel odd as you can hear and stand up straight!, the planned route had to be altered as the top part of the canal is being worked on by British Waterways, towpath conditions much improved from last week, the wind has dried everything out. lots of people about though despite the wind, probably because it was so mild, 11 degrees at least
