the Iron and Cheese ride

did a recce of the first part of the Tardebigge-Worcester-Tardebigge ride planned for the spring on a very muddy canal after yesterdays frost today was a little warmer and the top surface had thawed but the ubderneath was still frozen, it was like riding on corrugated iron covered with warm melted cheese, very sqirmy even with mud tyres on, i was convinced i had a puncture (all the hedges have been vut and the blackthorns were all over the place) but luckily it was just the ground conditions and the tyres stayed inflated. the final 14 miles was on tarmac and i lost the feeling in my feet at about mile 15, not pleasant at all, glad to get home and thaw out even if the sun had come out
ride 13
24 miles
total 172
