i passed the 1000 mile point on this ride, this was sort of a goal when i started this pic-a-ride project in order to motivate me to ride, but i don't think my quest is over i need to see how many miles i can do in 12 months and then try to beat it next year!
this ride was planned about 10 minutes before leaving by spotting bridleways i've never ridden on and trying to make them into a loop, al were very rideable in the dry (although it did rain, the forst for ages and ages) but i think maybe a different story in the winter, there were a lot of gates and a lot of sheep pooh, but adopt the "mouth shut when going downhill" technique and eating shit is avoided!
strawberry and rhubarb cake was to celebrate 1000 miles!
