so, i've posted about the Offchurch Greenway, this is a continuation of it, having checked on the web (gotta love google maps!) i thought i could join the disused railway that runs all the way to rugby, use a branch off it to get to Long Itchington, where there was an annual beer festival, the start wasn't promising as these huge ruts filled with stagnant water were near the start of the raiway trail, pressing on i cam to a wide cutting and their seemed to be a spur to the right, i tried it but it was very overgrown and i thought it couldn't be the route, so turned back and rejoined the main trail, after about 10 miles i realised i was way away from the trail i wanted so took the next exit to a road..well guess what it was the main road into LI!, i suffered a puncture from a thorn, fixed it and made my way into the village, it was very busy with revellers, lots of morris men and 6 pubs all selling different ales, great atmosphere, made my way to the canal fro the journey home, i'll be back to try the other trail properly.
ride 38
24 miles
total 449
