the second ride today was to celebrate the summer solstice, On the longest day of the year where we are supposed to get the most sunlight four of us met at 2030. Kitted out with lights adn money for a celebratory beer we hit the woods as the sun started to go down, trails that a mundane by day certainly take on new personalities in the dark, It always seems faster in the dark, even though the speed is probably half of what we achieve in day light. It was cloudy which was disappointing as there were tantalising glimpses of an almost full moon at times and the temperature certainly dropped the closer we got to midnight. we ended in the pub raising a pint to summer, all downhill to winter now but hopefully there's plenty more warm sunny days to go yet
